MasterMoney Debit Card 

What is it? A MasterMoney Debit Card is like an "electronic check card" that you can use anywhere MasterCard is accepted. This includes retail stores, supermarkets, restaurants, automated teller machines (ATM's) and gas stations.

In fact, with the convenience of a Master Money Debit Card, you will rarely have to write checks. When you use your debit card, the money is automatically and immediately deducted from your checking account. So,be sure to enter the transaction in your checking register immediately.  

With an ICCU Debit Card you have access to your money at over 14 million locations worldwide, without having to carry cash. 

Which Shall I Choose? Credit or Debit?

If you want cash back = ask for a DEBIT transaction.
If you want added purchase/return protection = ask for a CREDIT transaction.

Here Why:
• When you choose "debit" at  a point-of-sale terminal, you will enter your PIN and can get cash back from your transaction. A debit transacation will post immediately to your account.  Typically, PIN or debit transacations do not require a signature as the funds are automatically deducted (debited) from your account, and the merchant has limited risk. 

• When you choose  "credit," you will provide your signature and the funds will not be debited (deducted) from your checking account for one to three days.  The funds will however be HELD in your account until the transaction clears.  Cash back is NOT available with a credit transaction.  

• When using your MasterMoney Debit card at a location with no point-of-sale terminal, your transaction will automatically be
   processed as a "credit" transaction.  

• When using your debit card at an ATM machine, you may access your savings AND checking accounts.  When doing a debit transaction at a merchent, the funds will be deducted from your checking account (not savings).

Safety Tips:

• Never share your Personal Identification Number (PIN) - or give it over the telephone - even if the caller identifies themselves as an ICCU employee or police officer. 
• Commit your PIN to memory.  Never write it on your card or your card protector.
• Do not leave your ATM receipt in the machine. 
• Wait until you leave the vicinity of the ATM machine to count your money. 
• Protect your cash at all times.
• Immediately report lost or stolen cards to the ICCU ATM Department.
• When walking up to an ATM, have your card ready and in hand.
• Stand close to the ATM when entering your PIN. 
• Be aware that thieves with cameras on their cell phones may use it to record your PIN number or card number.
