Checking Account Services

Checking (Share Draft) Accounts

FREE Checking:  Your credit union offers a FREE checking account to all member-owners.  Free meaning: no monthly maintenance or service fee, no per check fees or charges, and no service charges (assuming you don't overdraw the account).

In true credit union fashion, Isabella Community Credit Union led the way to bring free checking into the Isabella County area in the late 1970's. We did it first, and still do it best!

Together with ICCU's online account access, "It'sMe247," a MasterMoney Debit Card, Easy Access Line of Credit and/or Courtesy Pay, you will have 24/7 access to your money around the world, and protection in the event a mistake happens.

Benefits Plus CheckingFree!

ICCU's Benefits Plus Checking has no specific account requirements, and there is no monthly fee or service charge.    The account is free, and the benefits are priceless.

Upgrading your existing ICCU checking is easy -- just talk to any employee.

Save money on the stuff you buy every day!

Direct Deposit - Safe & Easy

Do you find yourself waiting in line every payday waiting to cash or deposit your paycheck? Consider setting up direct deposit with your employer and skip the line.

Direct deposit is the safest and fastest method to deposit your paycheck and/or Social Security deposits. Your money is electronically transferred every pay period, which means less of a chance of your paycheck getting lost, stolen, or spent on impulse purchases. Your paycheck will make it to the credit union even if you can't!

How To: To set-up a direct deposit, your employer will need ICCU's routing and transit number, which is:  272483015, along with your account number.  Add 000 for savings or 070 for checking to the end of your account number.  One signature does it all.

Tip:  When the first deposit arrives, verify that it was put in the correct account for accuracy.  After that, sign-up for free online banking with "It'sMe247" and you can check your account online, anytime.

For further questions, please contact your credit union.

Payroll Deduction: Pay Yourself First!

For those of you who do not want their entire paycheck deposited, or those whose employers may not send electronic payments - payroll deduction is a great alternative and a great way to "pay yourself first!"

Some employers, while they do not participate with electronic payments/direct deposit, will send part or whole paychecks directly to the credit union on your behalf. This is a great way to make loan payments, save for the holidays or a large ticket item, or simply make deposits to your checking account.

If you find that your employer won't offer payroll deduction, please contact the Marketing/Development Department at ext. 241.

MasterMoney Debit Card

Want the convenience of ATM access and the worldwide purchasing power of MasterCard? Then an ICCU MasterMoney Debit card is the answer.

ICCU's MasterMoney Debit card gives you convenient access to your checking account, without having to write a check.

You can use it at virtually any ATM, as well as any where MasterCard™ is accepted around the world.

Click here to find an ATM machine that is surcharge free through the CO-OP Network.

TIP:  If you ask for a “CREDIT” transaction instead of “debit” when using your ICCU debit card, the money comes out of your account the same way - immediately. The benefit is that a  “credit” transaction gives you additional return and/or refund options with the merchant.

Simply ask the merchant to “process your transaction as credit,” and it often takes just one additional button to push. Next time you make a purchase with your debit card, say “Credit Please” for additional protection.

Easy Access Loan

You can also access this convenient line-of-credit through ICCU's online account access, "It'sMe247," the Touch-Tone-Teller, or over the-counter any time you need it.

Apply today and you may never have an overdraft again!
