Own Your Money: Join and Use a Credit Union!
Welcome! Isabella Community Credit Union (ICCU) is proud to be a full-service, member-owned financial cooperative specializing in service to its member-owners. Credit Union members are those that use the credit union for saving money and borrowing. Since 1958, ICCU is community focused and owned by its members.
Credit Unions are unique financial institutions in that they are member-owned, not-for-profit and volunteer driven. Banks are FOR profit and operate to make money. Click here for a chart that explains the differences.
ICCU is constantly looking for ways to provide more, while keeping costs down. From excellent rates on loans and low-fee mortgages to free checking and small business accounts, offering exceptional value.
Since 1958, ICCU has been making dreams a reality for its members with consistently straight-forward, inexpensive, quality services. At ICCU, you don’t have to read between the lines. We dare you to compare. ICCU really does offer the best value in financial services in the area.
Isabella Community Credit Union - History
A group of school employees founded what was originally called, "School Employees of Isabella County Credit Union (SEICCU)" on February 10, 1958, at the Mount Pleasant High School. That first year, the credit union had 82 members and $4,900 in assets. The credit union was the first financial cooperative in Isabella County, MI.
Now known by Isabella Community Credit Union (ICCU), ICCU has expanded its charter to include Isabella County and and the counties immediately surrounding Isabella. Since that time, ICCU has grown to nearly 14,700 members and $81 million in assets and continues to serve the Mt. Pleasant educational community.

Why We Do What We Do: Credit Union Philosophy
Isabella Community Credit Union (ICCU) has always looked out for the best interest of its member-owners.
This is done in many ways, like all cooperatives by turning the profits (earnings) of the credit union back to its members in the form of lower fees and service charges, and competitive interest rates. In addition, a full range of financial services offering the latest technology is made available at little or no cost to ICCU members.
As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, ICCU is in business for its member-owners. As a result, ICCU members receive some of the best service, rates and products available - at the lowest cost.
In true credit union fashion, ICCU led the way to bring FREE checking to the Mount Pleasant area. In 2010, Benefits Plus Checking was added, combining money saving discounts with a local merchant component to support the communities in which we do business.
With great loan rates, low fees, and a full range of financial services, including free online and mobile banking combined with online bill payment, it is easy to understand why ICCU believes the smartest consumers are credit union members!
