ICCU's High School Student-Run Credit Union (SRCU)ICCU Student Run CU

Student members, teachers, faculty and MPHS/MPATC staff are welcome to visit and use any of ICCU's three Mt. Pleasant offices until the Student-Run Credit Union re-opens in September at MPHS.

Best Wishes:  Congratulations and best of luck to ICCU's current and former student-run tellers.  All are pictured (left) supporting the MPHS "Miles for Miracles Cancer Awareness event and Fun Day held on Friday, May 18, 2012.

Special thanks to seniors Alicia B., (white shirt) and Rebecca M., (orange shirt) who have worked as co-op student tellers in recent years.   Both are going to college in the fall and we wish them luck (although they won't need it!)

Current co-op student teller Alicia B., (blue shirt left) will be a senior next year, and Kiegan (purple shirt/right) will be joining the team as a junior.   Both Alicia and Kiegan will be tellering this summer at ICCU branches...watch for them, and say "hello!"

Thirty Years of Cooperative Education -- ICCU is proud to hire, train and mentor co-op students for over 30 years as part of a cooperative relationship with the Mt. Pleasant Senior High School and the Mt. Pleasant Area Tech Center.

Alicia and Kiegan work at ICCU during breaks and on Saturdays, and every Monday, Wednesday and Friday  at the Student-Run Credit Union when school is in session.

Their jobs include assisting student-member, teachers and staff at the Mt. Pleasant Area Tech Center with credit union transactions; conducting classroom presentations on the importance of saving money; and developing partnerships with students -- combining professionalism with fun!

What is the Student-Run Credit Union? For six years, ICCU proudly supports the operation of a Student-Run Credit Union (SRCU) in partnership with the Mt. Pleasant Area Tech Center (MPATC) at the Mt. Pleasant High School.

The Student-Run Credit is operated "by students for students, teachers, faculty and staff," under the direct supervision of ICCU employees.  All persons involved are bonded and held to strict confidentiality policies.

The partnership is designed to teach students about money in a SAFE enviroment.  In addition to classroom presentations, ICCU is proud to offer financial services, leadership development, job skills and educational opportunities.

Student-Run Credit Union Hours:  The credit union, located at the Mt. Pleasant High School, is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., when school is in session.

Location: The credit union is located inside the Mt. Pleasant High School (north entrance) to the right of the main doors near the AP's office.   Feel free to ask any student for directions.  The Student-Run Credit Union is proudly operated in partnership with the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center (MPATC).

Who Can Use It?: Available to all MPHS students, all Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center Students (MPATC) see below, and all MPHS/MPATC faculty and staff members.

 Schools that can use SRCU

ICCU members are welcome to use the credit union when inside the high school, just like any other branch.  MPHS is a closed campus, and if you are a guest or visitor you must register with the Principal's office first.

Details: All transactions are posted immediately - just like any other ICCU branch office --(online, realtime!) The branch is coordinated in partnership with the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center and Mrs. Lockwood's Accounting class. Co-op student tellers are hired each year, trained during the summer months, and are bonded and insured for your protection. The student tellers are under the direct supervison of an ICCU team member at all times.

Services: The Student-Run Credit Union branch is a full service ICCU office, where you can make a deposit, apply for a loan, get an ATM or Debit card, or ask a question about money, budgeting and saving money.
